1 Hobby Box Of 2012 Bowman Draft
Alright, now to share with you all my first non-Card Gen related purchase in months. It's a wonder how I seem to have enough money left over after my A&G fiasco this year that I can continue to buy new stuff and keep feeding myself. I have a feeling I'm going to suffer the consequences in the near-future (aka sometime next year).
Anywhoo now for some cardboard. The Hit (& PC Hit) ![]() *Stryker Trahan Auto *Ty Hensley Paper Base Bryce Harpers ![]() Other Notable Rookies ![]() #'d Stuff & Ice ![]() *Kirk Nieuwenhuis Blue Paper #'d 008/500 *Matt Olson Blue Paper #'d 405/500 *Robert Ravago Orange Paper #'d 133/250 *Tanner Scheppers Chrome Refractor RC #'d 015/300 *Tommy Richards Blue Refractor #'d 212/250 *Nick Routt Ice Refractors (None are #'d) ![]() *Paul Blackburn *Mitch Haniger *Shane "Elementary My Dear" Watson *Patrick Wisdom (wonder what his IQ is) *Jacob Thompson *Jeffrey Popick I also got two of those Prospect Challenge Code Cards. Okay now for my REVIEW of this product/box. The Good: *It's Bowman F'ing Draft, the product I always look foward to the most *I got 1 Yankees prospect card which is 1 more than I got in Bowman Chrome *I got a Bryce Harper RC *The picture of Stryker Trahan is really cool (it's also ironic how his name's Stryker but yet he's a catcher) The Bad: *This box cost me 65 bucks (6500 yen to be exact) even with my members card discount *I'm tempted to try and finish the 55-card paper RC set *I only got 1 of the 4 Yankees prospects (1st world problem, I know) *The refractors aren't #'d The Ugly: *This box cost me 65 bucks *There is no Dellin Betances in the checklist *This box cost me 65 bucks *The store wouldn't let me trade my cards for a box/discount *This box cost me 65 bucks *Derek Jeter & Bryce Harper aren't on the same (insert) card ![]() *Oh and this box cost me 65 bucks So yeah, really great product if you're into prospect pr0n. My final grade for this product would be a 7/10. Everyone should know what to expect from this product at this point. And I might've exaggurated how highly priced I think this box was but I guess it's because of the situation I've put myself in after I decided to crazy and buy 3+ boxes of A&G and all of those Card Gen cards, in a addition to hundreds of loose packs from Series 1 & Bowman I bought earlier in the year as well. Lesson=Learned Never buy anything other than Bowman Draft & Card Gen. And trade for any singles you need from other products. So thanks if you've lasted this long into my thread. I've got a box break thread for a box of 2006 Bowman Draft coming up in a few weeks as well. As always thanks for checking out my thread, and I'll end this thread by showing you all a superfractor I pulled last year.

RE: 1 Hobby Box Of 2012 Bowman Draft
The lack of Chrome color would bother me...but thats how regular Bowman Hobby was this year too...The 3 jumbo boxes I bought from Bowman had all kinds of cool stuff like gold refractor autos and 1/1's and the 6 24 pack Hobby Boxes didnt really pan out to much besides a couple /500 refractor autos and scrub prospect autos...I think I will save my pennies and spring for a jumbo box. And Bowman Chrome was extremely generous to me this year as it was last year. The auto you pulled has decent stats in the minors so maybe it will be a nice hit in the coming years. Check milb.com. Thats what I always do when these prospect sets come out. You can check their up to date stats.

I think your box of draft was an average box for this product, Ziveus101. Big congrats on the SuperFractor, even though it didn't come in this box. ![]() I collect Dirk Hayhurst. No I didnt have any mixed feelings. I personally dont like the guy anyways. Long story short we were at a spring training game and was kindly asking him for a ball from the bullpen and he ignored us. which is fine but next thing I know he throws a ball up to his nephew. Only reason i know this is because the dad came over to give my son the ball because he said "jesus is his uncle and he can get a ball anytime." nice move by the dad but not big on montero himself plus i think sanchez has a brighter future anyways

Sorry to hear about that, RobbinsDynasty. I don't like players like that, either, obviously.

And thanks for the info, good luck with your own jumbo box of draft .The guy I pulled appears to have made some noise as a human wall though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlK0wY2SQb4 (11-30-2012 11:24 AM)nyyankeesfan28 Wrote: I have two of those coming and I hope to do as well as you, RobbinsDynasty. But hey I got an auto of a decent 1st round pick and got some good rookie cards. Gotta look at the positives. Especially since in my case I'm negative about everything else in my life lol. Well I can't justify his actions, but maybe he was just trying to make his nephew feel special. Okay I give up lol. ![]() Dellin Betances & Francisco Cervelli Collector |
