Yeah, I assume that if it was easy to get missing autos, then people would just try to rip them off to get extra ones. And that definitely would be easier, just base it off odds. But might make people less eager to buy without a guarantee. Thanks for the answer!

BTW, there were 11 entries, with sums ranging from 32 to 125. Two contestants picked a sum of 105. Wisconsin already up 14-0 two minutes into the game. Good luck all!

Looks like a pretty nice product so far. Lots of color for hobby boxes. I'm glad they had jumbos this year, though it appears they are hard to come by. Topps seems to be putting in much more effort and value into the Bowman brands these days.

Case #3, Box #7

Jamie Jarmon Blue /500

Taylor Hawkins Blue /500
Eric Wood Orange /250
Alexamder Muren Blue Refractor /150
Liam Hendiks Gold Refractor 20/50
Lucas Sims Auto

Grade: C-
Comments: The Sims auto is smeared badly. The gold refractor brings the serial number sum to 45, eliminating one of the contestants (who predicted a sum of 42). All others are still in the running.

Case #3, Box #9

Bryce Harper Blue /500
Alfredo Rodriguez Blue /500
Austin Chubb Blue Refractor /150
Adam Giacalone Red Ice /25
D. J. Davis Bowman’s Best Refractor /99
Brian Johnson Auto

Comments: I can’t imagine how long it would take me to execute a 50 case break. I’d definitely need a team to pull it off.

Case #3, Box #10

Ron Miller Blue /500
John Kuchno Blue /500
Caset Crosby Orange /250
Wade Miley Rookie Refractor /300
Nick Routt Blue Refractor /250

Xavier Avery Blue /500
Jordan John Orange /250
Elian Herrera Blue Refractor /250

Comments: In case anyone is wondering, I’m getting exactly 24 code cards per case.

Case #3, Box #12

Austin Maddox Blue /500
Jacob Wilson Blue /500
Nicholas Grim Orange /250
Ty Hensley Blue Refractor /250
Nick Williams Refractor Auto

Grade: C
Comments: Okay, halfway through the GOLD REFRACTOR CHALLENGE, the total is 45.

Case #3 Summary

Grade: B
Comments: I still feel like I’m getting excellent value. The auto checklist is pretty solid, with lots of value in the middle range. With the added color this year I have fewer boxes that are disasters. This case was of course characterized by the Blue Refractor Auto of Mike Zunino, but I also had a Blue Refractor auto of Kevin Gausman (my second of the break), an Aune auto, and a Refractor auto of Hensley. Not bad at all. Done for the night, but hope to bust 1-2 cases Sunday and post info about the third and final contest of the break.
