Hey, I don't usually post on the hockey boards, but I am a huge hockey fan. While I have been a little insane with the lockout, I am lucky enough to have an AHL team in the next city over that I can follow, the Worcester Sharks. Well, I have gone to quite a few of there games, but I always feel wierd because I don't have any Sharks gear to wear. They sell replicas at the pro shop, but I really perfer "authentic jerseys" with a name and number on the back. As some of you may know, the only way to get one of these is to buy a game used jersey. After saving up and doing some research, I settled on a Jon Landry jersey. Here are some pictures...





Now, I know Landry is not a star or even on the team anymore, but there is a different reason why I chose this jersey. My last name is also Landry, so now I own a jersey with my own name on it. I doubt many others can say that. The jersey is in great shape with no stains or tears. The patchwork looks geat. Now I can feel like a real fan when I go to games! Just thought I would share.

Nice shirt! Do they sell game used stuff at the games? I know MeiGray has a lot of AHL stuff, but I don't think Worcester was a MeiGray program team

Whoa...cool. Is that the main emblem or do they rotate it depending on the jersey? Also, inquiring Sharks fan wants to know: who's looking good out there on the ice these days?

Great pick up....that is a huge added bonus that you have the same last name as the player. I am a game worn collectorb as well....I personally wouldnt wear any of my game worns...especially out yo a game where it could potentially get damaged from stains and what not....but thats just me....

I'm the same way - would never wear one out, but I've met many that do. I think if you get one cheap enough and buy it specifically for that purpose, it works. Although, with the ease of acquiring those knock-offs from China and how cheap they are... that's the direction I head now.. buy those.. If a fake jersey I spent $30-40 on gets ruined - no big deal
