What is it you prefer. 1 case to bust of your favorite brand to bust and build? Or, would you prefer boxes of many different sets and brands just for the joy of ripping and hope of finding that 1 pull that you need to shout out on the forums about?

I love the idea of ripping many different boxes hoping for the big pull. But, if I could rip a case....2012 Topps Platinum.

No way on Platinum as far as case breaks. Cards are #'d way too high... I mean 1480 or whatever... ouch. Some suggestions:

1) Check e-bay to see which superfractors have been pulled from your favorite product.
2) Check the card #'ing. If it's high, you'll get a bunch of crappy players.
3) Make sure there are autos of your favorite players in the set (i.e. 2011 Prestige didn't have ANYTHING Cam Newton auto'd)

If I had to recommend a case right now, it would definitely be Topps Chrome. Love what they did this year. Elite would have to be my 2nd option. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I was just curious as to other collectors habits. I like ripping different boxes but have become a fan of Topps Platinum because of the nice photos and inserts. I can't bring myself to pay over $100 a pack for cards. I'm sure they are nice but I like to get more cards for my $$$$.

Topps Strata will be my case bust this year.
It does not come out till 12/05/2012 but it has what I want in a case.
.New product-not been done before
.Inserts that have a quality
.Set is going to be nice
Not to mention it not a bad price compaired to others. I think a pre order case of 12 boxes is like 850$ or there abouts.
It all in what a person likes as some products people like way more than others.
Just my 2 cents tho
