I took a $30K paycut when I got out of the Navy last year.. so my cardboard addiction is limited... until I can secure a better job... I wish I had my BAH (basic allowance Housing) back... I loved receiving an extra $2K+ a month for rent.. (I pay $1,650 for rent.. way too much for San Diego, but hard to find a cheaper two bedroom w/ garage)..

Yeah! I'm stationed overseas... my COLA alone is over 2k a month.

I wish I got the chance to be stationed overseas.. I tried to get Bahrain, Yokosuka, & Hong Kong... For my rate, Hong Kong has two enlisted Sailors stationed there. for the Navy.. I almost got it, but they wanted somebody that knew Tagalog.. since there is a huge Filipino community there.

Cool...I'm Army (13 years) years now. I was actually deployed to Bahrain 2010-2011. Pretty cool place. The resorts are off the chain!! Very expensive place. I think the exchange rate is 2.66 per our 1 buck...

We stayed on a small FOB about 30 min south from the NSA. That place was pretty neat too. The NEX was pretty huge and had a lot of cool stuff there...
