To grade or not to grade?

To grade or not to grade?
I'm new to collecting and the whole idea of grading cards. I have a few rookies but these 2 cards are the main ones I want graded (I know the Mantle isn't a rookie).
So here are my questions:
1) are these cards worth getting graded?
2) what grade would you say these would receive, and what flaws do you notice??

1964 Topps (Giant card) Mickey Mantle #25

Topps Ozzie Smith rookie card (kinda blurry)

RE: To grade or not to grade?
Nice cards to have but probably would not grade.

At first I was going to point out that the top borders look uniform but that the bottom narrows a bit too much off. I looked at my same Mantle which graded a BVG 7.5 and it narrows off a bit at the bottom as well. Corners look slightly touched with a bit of a diamond cut. Maybe a 6 or 6.5 at best?

The Ozzy looks sharp but looks like a gum stain on the back.

Collecting Yastrzemski, 1966 Topps Venezuelan Set, 1972 O Pee Chee Set, Baseball HOF Relics, Los Angeles Rams Relics & Autos

Is that a gum stain or a shadow?

Interested in EX-MT or better pre-'56 Cardinals, '53 Bowman Color & '74-'78 Topps.

On the mantle only one corner looks touched IMO. And that's not a gum stain on ozzie that's the shadow from me taking the picture lol.
