Also late to the party, but would have recommended keeping it in the case. My approach to my PC is I like to have everything in the exact state that it came from the manufacturer, so for any uncirculated cards, I keep them in their cases.
I don't even bother with cards that were once uncirculated and are now out of the case... 
Well, I busted it out. Wasn't worth keeping in the case. Centering was horrible
