Goerge Armstrong auto

Goerge Armstrong auto
Does anyone know why Goerge Armstrong's auto is so expensive? I was trying to find one for my father for his birthday and they run anywhere from 200 - 800 depending on what is signed?

Maybe because he scored the last goal in the Leafs' Stanley Cup final history? Never forget the obscure collectors that will pay anything for a trivial thing!

RE: Goerge Armstrong auto
Frozen Pond had a good article on this. Supposedly George Armstrong is one of the most difficult autographs to get this side of Ken Dryden. He actually once went into the Frozen Pond store to demand they stop selling some of his very old signed photos he did many years ago & tried to confiscate them! His son said George has almost no hockey memorabilia in his house from when he played & has practically erased any memories of his playing days from his friends & family. Pretty much for whatever reason, George had become a virtual recluse who signed very little during his career & practically nothing after.
