So i did a draft today on nfl.com joined one of the random draft rooms that lets you draft right then. Its a 10 team league with standard scoring. Ended up with the last pick #10 which gave me 2 picks in a row every time. I usually would take a RB in the 1st round but the way things were playing out i thought my value with Calvin Johnson and Gronk was better because the top 4-5 RBs were off the bored and it looked like there would still be some decent guys left. Anyways i think i did pretty well. What do you all think?

Round 8 Pick 71 DEF New England Patriots -- This is the only pick I an concerned about. It is VERY early for a defense. Were the other defenses flying off the board? There should have been better defenses left on the board this early... but then again, they would have been on the board still a couple rounds later too.

Round 13 Pick 130 DEF Seattle Seahawks -- Honestly, this is a wasted pick. There is absolutely no need to draft a second defense. You pick up a second defense the week your first defense has their bye, by dropping some scrub on your bench.

I cant believe Roethlisberger was there in round 10 since they will likely throw a lot this year. Solid draft. AP is a gamble seeing as I dont know how he is gonna be coming back from his injury but you did get Turner as a backup and he is always consistent.

I almost commented on the AP pick too. I would have avoided the 2nd defense and picked up Tony Gerhart as a handcuff to AP. From all I have heard, AP should be ready to start Week 1, but try to pick up Gerhart if he is available.

Yea Gerhart wasnt drafted so if i need him i should be able to pick him up. I dont think ill be without AP for more then week 1. Unless he gets injured later in the year. I picked the pats D because all the other good DEF were gone and i always run with a 2nd defense unless there is really good talent in the free agent pool. I won 3 championships last year and played in 6 out of 9 teams <- i know i know thats a lot of teams to manage but i did it. lol Anyhow i think all but 1 of those teams had 2 defenses for the first half of the season.
