Wilt Chamberlain AUTO "buyback" 1992-93 UD Heroes
I seen an auto card of Wilt Chamberlain today that says it has a COA stamp from ScoreBoard. When did ScoreBoard do "buyback autos"??
Do you think is fake or real?
I didn't see any UD 1992-93 autos of WILT in Beckett database...
I searched for Wilt Chamberland, then clicked on "auto"

Scoreboard did indeed do buybacks but I'm a bit skeptical with this seller because he's been pumping the scoreboard autos out left and right. The autos do look legit on the few I've seen (Kobe) but not sure I'd be willing to risk it as you can always buy a stamp and stamp your own cards, not saying that's the fact with the seller.. Just that it's possible.

Avoid!
There were a few Wilt autographs of this card that never made it into packs.
UDA made a framed set with the autograph card and limited it to 750 pieces.
From what I understand there were still a few left over cards after the 750 that made it into the secondary market....BUT they are signed with a thick black sharpie AND have a DIAMOND HOLOGRAM on the back NOT a circle one.
I have one of each mentioned above.
It MAY be real...but considering Wilt's sig is pretty easy, I wouldnt chance it especially with a Scoreboard stamp. The stamps from the 90's have been forged ALOT lately.

I agree with you guys. I remember seeing the UDA signed ones at a UD store in Los Angles in the mid-90's. I thought there were some that were supposed to be in packs, but guess not. my memory is starting to lose itself...
I've seen a lot of fishy autos lately... usually anything that has scoreboard mentioned, I stay away from.
but what gets me is all the sellers that try to pass COA's... anybody can make a COA... but it from a trusted company? I do not think so. Autograph forgery has been around for years!!
