Where did they go?

The last time topps used buttons, was in 09' unique. Where have they gone? Are they throwing them out or are they giving me more reason to believe that they're just buying certain pieces of jersey on ebay? Love to hear your thoughts

A game used jersey can last for a long time, and they could always be saving them for a upcoming set.

Interesting question. They were never a widely used item though. 2009 Topps Unique was the last time they were used but its also the ONLY time they were used (by Topps).
