Replacement question [Topps/Panini/Upper Deck
OK so I was thinking while at lunch and came up with something interesting. If the manufacturers have replacement cards wouldn't that affect ratio's? How many cards do they hold onto? Percentage? I would think the replacements would be from previous redemption's that expired? And wouldn't it deny collectors good hits since those cards are not randomly inserted into their products?

Example is Andrew Luck auto in Elite, how many did they pull from the product for replacements? Like I said it was just something I was thinking about and thought I would share.

I think they produce extra blank cards. I sent in an Eddie George into Panini. And when it came back it had a different style of stamping.
