2012 Topps Edwin Jackson Black-Boarderd SP
Hello all!

I am a long time baseball fan and getting back into cards. I've bought numerous boxes and been getting a feel for it but this one card stands out to me...

2012 Topps Series 1 Edwin Jackson Black-Boarded SP #/61

I got this out of a Jumbo Box and Beckett lists this card in the upwards of $X. While i understand it is a SP, most other of the BB 61 set are listed at pennies compared. Edwin Jackson is a decent pitcher, but $X!? I'm not complaining as I pulled one, but i'm unsure as to why it's worth so much.

My only guess is that since he was traded to the Cards in 2011 and signed with the Nats in the off-season, this must be one a very few cards of him in a Cards uniform along with being a numbered SP card.

Thoughts?

It must be for that reason. That's like the 3rd most valuable card in the set after Mantle and Darvish! I'm a huge Nats fan, but that's a bit high. There is one on ebay now asking $35 and not selling. So, my guess is Beckett just has this one a little high. Still, I would be happy with that pull. Good job!

Can't list BV, but the most that card would fetch is $3, sorry to say it.
