that is the same line of cr-ap upper deck pulled with me recently. Keep trying - i eventually got through to a rep that was able to help me w/o the proof of purchase stuff. (although its been a month and still no replacement)
doesnt it feel like they're kind of accusing you of something? I mean what would that stuff prove? You've got the card, where do they think you got it? Its just an excuse they use to brush you off. Keep trying and good luck.
