My Allen and Ginter Box - not too bad
Hi, Just opened up my yearly box of Ginter. I'll just list the hits and some of the minis for now:
Man's Best Friend: Shetland Sheephound
People in the Bible: Daniel
Musical Masters: Mozart
Culinary Curiosities: Hakarl (whatever that is!)
World's Greatest Military Leaders: Cyrus the Great
A&G Back hand-numbered 10/25 Phil Pfister (Strongman)
Box-Topper: N43 Ken Griffey, Jr.
Mem-Card: Vernon Wells
Mem-Card: Jaime Garcia
Framed auto: Bela Karolyi
Interesting box. I did get a regular Yu Darvish and Bryce Harper and some pretty decent SP's like Nolan Ryan and Cal Ripken. It's always nice to get an auto and I like the Karolyi with the Olympics coming up. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any feedback!

Yeah hitting an auto is great, and hopefully she (or he) will do well in the Olympics and that card's value will grow. But A&G autos are always in high demand as it is one of the most popular sets for set collectors.
Collecting Reds and A's (especially Joey Votto, Bronson Arroyo, and Josh Reddick)

Thanks! I always love the looks of the autos and the game-used cards that come out of Allen and Ginter! Bela Karolyi is actually the long-time (male) coach of women's gymnastics. He was actually coaching way back in the seventies. He coached Nadia Comaneci from Romania and then coached some great American gymnasts (like Mary Lou Retton and Kerrie Strug) so, yeah, I was pretty happy to get his auto!

Sorry, I'm a huge Cardinal fan and that's my first Jaime Garcia mem. card so I'm going to hold onto it. Kersey - that's a great card to pull too!
