1998 SPx Finite and 1998 Upper Deck MJx Boxes - open or sell?!
I've got these two unopened boxes and I'm considering opening them. However, I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to buy them off me? If so, please send me offers. I really can't decide what to do with them! Any thoughts/advice, please let me hear it. Thanks!

1998-99 SPx Finite Series 1 Box (3 cards per pack, 18 packs per box) (last box on eBay sold for $435)

Yes, bust them.

I always look at it this way ... your odds of pulling a Jordan auto are exactly 50-50 ... either you do or you don't!

Either send them to me or bust them Smile Haha! I do not know how people have so much self control. I would start busting those type of boxes on my way back from the mailbox haha!

Possibly the worst bit of Maths I have ever heard! Haha, that made me laugh, and I really like your theory!

Still can't decide what to do.

Will, you'll struggle to get value back on those boxes. It'll either be huge or be squat (and skewed heavily in favour of squat).

If there's nothing in them for your PC, sell them and buy some nice singles.

If your collecting on a budget, take the loot while you can get it and put it towards something guaranteed.

The Finite boxes come up far less often, so you might wanna see what you can get for it.

The MJx box? I busted one awhile back, pulled one of the /23 timepieces that books pretty well but nothing else huge. Of course, about 90 of the cards were PC so that was fun for me Smile

Honestly I think you should send me a few packs from one of them as my wedding present since I just got back from my honeymoon, but that's just me Wink

You should get at least $350/box though on a mediocre day, $450 on a good day so I guess it's whether you need/want the money or not!
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!

If you do crack the box of Finite, don't expect any rookies as they are all in series 2.
Collecting Doug Waechter (118/149), Jared Sandberg (107/125), 1994-95 BB Michael Jordan (69/89), 1977-1997 Eddie Murray (877/943), and Bo Jackson BB/FB 1986-1995 (447/486), 2007 Fleer Mini Gold (126/370). Only completing trades with something on my lists.
