OT - Real vs. Replica Auto Jersey
Hey guys, I don't roam around the hockey forum much, but I have a question for ya. What do you (or what would you) look for when purchasing an Autographed Jersey? How much do details and authenticity of the jersey matter?
Do you look for a Pro jersey (reebok vs CCM), or does that not matter, as long as the auto is legit and on a jersey that looks like one from the team. ![]() Jacquizz PC Total = (259/354) 73% Total minus 1/1 = (236/252) 94% |

If money is not a concern then an authentic sweater, and autograph with coa, even better is game worn, and matched to a photo. If funds are tight get a replica sweater.

RE: OT - Real vs. Replica Auto Jersey
Personally, I'd want an authentic or game worn jersey with an autograph. Getting a replica with an autograph would bother me unless I got the auto in person then it's a different story.

Most collectors DO NOT like gameworn jerseys autographed and usually will shy away from them or provide a lower value on the jersey. As a gameworn jersey collector, I will not buy a gameworn one autographed. I have only one in my collection and it was a Shirt off the back type of specialty night where they all were signed. If money is willing, I would buy an authentic and get it auto'd, they look alot nicer than the premier type lower end jersey available. Just my two cents. Good luck! RE: OT - Real vs. Replica Auto Jersey
I would go for the authentic but not the game worn. Too expensive for what you want. The only exception I would make is if the jersey was of your ultimate #1 player.
Collecting all the Ron Hextall Cards especially those pesky 1 of 1 cards and other low print runs. I am also collecting Bernie Parent, Pelle Lindbergh, Antero Niittymaki & other Flyers goalies. http://s728.photobucket.com/albums/ww288/dam1057/ |
