Brandon Beachy to miss a year after Tommy John Surgery
Saw this on MLB today. That's really tough luck for Beachy. He was a .500 pitcher (5-5), so appeared to be having a pretty good year.

Win-Loss record doesn't show anything about a pitcher. Beachy had a 2.00 ERA, which is an incredible year
Collecting Reds and A's (especially Joey Votto, Bronson Arroyo, and Josh Reddick)

He was also leading MLB in BAA, tied for 1st in OPS. The amazing part about Beachy is that he was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Maybe this will give Jurrjens the confidence he needs to regain to pre-all-star 2011 form.

It sucks that he was absolutely lights out and then this happens. I hope he fully recovers.
