Yeah I had one like that for an elway. Bidding was ended early twice and relisted. The it was shilled and ended early again, probably because the seller was going to win his own card lol. Then I tried and lost it. Took a look and it is funny that a case hit elway was sold twice by the same seller. I guess it is possible that he had 2 but 2 cards that were case hits of the same player?
As for your case the reasoning kinda sounds like it's possible but anything fishy should be investigated. The answer he gave you seems ok but guess we will see when you get it. Did you check if it was shilled? Big price difference

I just elected to go with a different seller... not as nice as those 3 colors, but still got my Nat'l Treasures 3 color RPA... not sure how to verify shilling...
