What are the best boxes to open?

What are the best boxes to open?
I am just getting back into the hobby to try to reduce my collection, but i was wondering what boxes are the favorites of the members nowadays. I only know the different boxes up until 2009-10. Is panini better than upperdeck now?

Any info would be great. I'm looking to pick up a box of something.

Taylor
I collect mainly Alexander Frolov but also Tobias Enstrom, and Ondrej Pavelec

panini imo was better than sp game used, alot of flops this year though from both.
i recently cracked some contenders and parkhurst i was impressed overall, crown royale
has been tough 18 boxes 4 silhouettes, upper deck series 1 was a money pit stay away from it.
just my experience but i would go for contenders, seems to be good so far.
hope that helps/sent you a trade offer also

I still like ITG for their unique designs and great swatches. The price is usually pretty reasonable, too.
Collecting all the Ron Hextall Cards especially those
pesky 1 of 1 cards and other low print runs.
I am also collecting Bernie Parent, Pelle Lindbergh,
Antero Niittymaki & other Flyers goalies.

I would have to say that the best box to open is a free one, second best one on sale. I like upper deck and ITG products.

SET COLLECTOR, RYAN SMYTH, BOBBY ORR AND MARTIN ST. LOUIS

what are you looking to do with the boxes after opening them? and who do you collect? as i go by checklists to see if anything is worth opening or not

probably try to trade or sell the big hits. I collect hasek, pavelec, ryder, enstrom, and anything shiny Wink Memorabilia-wise, what the most abundant product?

if you collect mostly goalies between the pipes,

shinies a lot of products have it

look at the checklists of the current products or upcoming products and see what are you willing to spend to open

hope that helps

Good thread topic here for newbies. Welcome back to the hobby. Good luck with downsizing and mainstreaming your collection.

It is all a matter of preference. As long as it is sealed when you get it, you are headed a good direction.

I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.
