I remember back in the early to mid 90's paying huge money for rookies of Griffey jr UD, Thomas Leaf, Ripken jr, Henderson, Piaza Fleer Update, Alomar score update, Sandberg, Molitor, Puckett, Rocket and a few others.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned: 1986 Donruss Jose Canseco or 1985 Topps Mark McGwire. I realize both have the steroids association, but those 2 mid-80s cards were HUGE in their day and have to be considered some of the greatest rookie cards ever.

The '34 Goudey Greenberg and the '59 Topps Bob Gibson are probably my two favorites.
