Selling Advice Needed Ebay vs COMC
After really thinking about it for the better part of the last month or so I have decided to leave the hobby altogether. I have started selling already and I am down to a few hotter selling cards and the rest are low $ base, inserts, parallel...I know to sell the hotter stuff on Ebay but am I better off listing everything else as a lot on Ebay or sending them into COMC to sell?? Never used COMC so know next to nothing about it. Any help would be VERY appreciated. I would be more than happy to sell on here if anyone sees anything they need. Will be updating my Org for the next few weeks before leaving so shoot me a PM if interested and maybe we can work something out. In case I forget to say it later, Thank You to everyone who made the last 2 years back in the hobby enjoyable. I truly did enjoy being immersed in the hobby again but mostly the back and forth on here, the trading, and the amount I learned about cards that I never knew. Somewhere along the way I lost my love for this hobby and these cards are just pictures on cardboard and nothing more to me now. Thanks again for any help on the selling.

RE: Selling Advice Needed Ebay vs COMC
Just make sure you really want to get rid of everything. I thought and stated the same thing approximately 1 1/2-2 months ago. I started off by selling stuff I KNOW I could care less if I kept or not. That way, if I changed my mind, I still had what I figured I would want to keep.

Well, I changed my mind and am not getting rid of it all, but still most of it and will only focus on three sets from here on out.

I'll be curious to see the answers because I have some stuff set aside for COMC but I'm still weary of it. I don't think they'd do much, if anything, on ebay but would rather be separated from them within a week instead of watching them possibly linger on COMC.

RE: Selling Advice Needed Ebay vs COMC
Your options are to take less, have to worry about doing all the shipping, have to deal with all the tricks buyers try, only have a set amount of time for the item to be listed, and give up 20% of the final sale to eBay and Paypal vs. allowing someone else to handle storing everything in a secure location, shipping, and customer service while having unlimited time for each item to be seen and giving up the same 20% on cashout with COMC. Both options have their merits and drawbacks. Personally, I prefer using COMC for my cards, and see things that never sold on my eBay store move daily at 25-60% of book.

RE: Selling Advice Needed Ebay vs COMC
if you price your cards reasonably and not expect a huge profit then they will sell fairly quick on COMC. The ones that linger are the ones that are grossly over priced. Think of COMC as the Outlet version of Ebay people go there looking for great deals not regular ebay prices.

The way I see it is COMC is better for older stuff people just want to get rid off because it's been sitting around a while and Ebay is probably better for the flipper who is looking to move his hits from the most current release.
