OT: Place your mailman rants here
Just thought if you guys and gals are like me you'd like to rant about your mailman(or woman) every now and then. Well, now there's a place for that! lol
We just recently got a new mailman and not only does he come down the opposite side of the street first(used to come down my side first) but on average he's about 3 hours later than the old one. ![]() Triple Threads: http://tinyurl.com/aewujqg DRC: http://tinyurl.com/allpxpd |

RE: OT: Place your mailman rants here
Yep I hear you on that. My mail gets delivered between 1pm and 5pm. When I lived two miles away, across town, I could always count on my mail being delivered between 11am and 1115am.

RE: OT: Place your mailman rants here
Mine is always an afternoon delivery, I hate the wait, especially when I check the shipping information and I know I will be getting items that day. Of course it always arrives and I'm happy. But always impatient.
If I could go to the sorting office and get it, I'd be annoying them at 7:00am every morning. Why can't they see it from my perspective, these little pieces of cardboard are very important to me!!! and I don't like the wait, why do they have to deliver mail to other people, they are just utility bills and junk, mine is really important stuff!!!! LOL |

RE: OT: Place your mailman rants here

RE: OT: Place your mailman rants here
well.....my mailman rocks....he remembers my name....and i live in a suburb of atlanta.
two years ago we put a card in the mailbox for santa that we had planned on getting out before the mailman got there. whoops. mailman actually got it. 3 hours later, i go to a family owned convenience store (he knows everyone's name too) - and the mailman is there eating a snack. i ask him about the card. so he proceeds to say: "yeah, you didn't have a return address on it, but aren't you .....and don't you live at .............? what i'll do is write your daughter's name on it - its ........., right? and i'll put a return address on it and she'll get a letter from santa." So, he knew my name (i've walked out from time to time when i hear the mail truck and get the mail from him personally) - and knew my daughter's name because she was getting children's magazines sent to her. right. like that will ever happen. yup. one week later, my daughter got a letter from santa. watch out - those postal workers remember all!! seriously - he is a class act, and as nice as he can be. ![]()

RE: OT: Place your mailman rants here
Mail carriers get no love. They bring you your cards from thousands of miles away for $1.64 and we complain because the new guy learning the route is 3 hours slower?!?! I, for one, am happy that I can get a card from here to anywhere else in the US in less than 3 days for under $2!! She can bring my mail at whatever time is convenient for her, I don't care.
