I don't get how to tell them apart.

On the back of the card it just has C30.

Same thing happens for the 96-97 set...

Any idea or thread where it explains how to tell which is which?

there are three different dates or teams, depending on the year. There's no way, that I'm aware of, to tell via Beckett which suffix (A, B or C) corresponds to what date/team

The really old beckett's had each player listed for each team or each date when the sets first came out. The dates are in date order and I thought when listed by team it was alphabetical. Beckett notation of the ABC of the card number was just to designate that there are 3 versions. They did the same with the 98-99 Topps and Topps Chrome Memorable Moments 5 card sets with ABCDE subset.
