With a slew of 2012 products just around the corner, I thought it was time to go back to a few sets I was working on in the past and just plain forgot. I've seen discussions about great draft classes for the hobby. When looking at this group, I realizd that the 2008 Draft class was probably in the top 2 classes we've seen in a decade.

This set had 34 cards in it. All were serial numbered to 30. All had a piece of a nameplate or number in the patch. These cards were about 120 pt. and did not cut smoothly. If grading, they usually got and 8.5 because of chipping at the edges. I had a few graded, but stopped after getting a few too many 8.5's.

Over all, it wasn't a bad looking set. I still need about 7 to complete the set. I don't know if all were ever signed. Ive got all the major players. Left are Brohm, Jordy Nelson, Kevin Smith, Dustin Keller, Kevin McConnell, Glen Dorsey and Jake Long.

The 5 graded will be posted last. They are in thick slabs which unfortunately don't scan well. Check it out.....

As usual, plenty of sick eye-candy from mel! lol Those are some beauties, and the more I think about it, that 2008 class was pretty terrific so far--Ryan, Flacco, Jake Long, Rice, Mendenhall, CJ2K, Jordy Nelson....pretty solid indeed.

2008 UD premier was my favorite all around designed set. Havent seen an ugly card yet!

Thanks, Wendy. The Bengals and Buccaneers have some of the nicest patches in the hobby! You should my sweet Kenny Irons patches. If only both teams consistently placed well......

Someone picked up the Nelson for me last night! I believe the Brohm was a redemption. I got the base patch auto card which I sent to a Packer's fan a couple of years ago. I'm hoping that another Packer fan has one sitting in a box somewhere that they might list this weekend. I don't know if he ever played a down for them.

Thanks. For some reason, I liked this set and the SPX Spectrum set from that year. My favorites were SPA and Exquisite. Of course, those were most people's.

I wish Upper Deck had done the SPA Super Patch set for this class like they did in 2009.

I always forget about Kevin Smith in this group. He could have a resurgence this year in Best gets hurt and LeShoure gets suspended.
