OT ..Seems someone got my credit info and tried to buy a bunch of stuf
Got an interesting message from chase the other day that someone was trying to buy 400 worth of something from an advertising agency in another country. Chase blocked it and called me since it was a weird purchase.

When i called them back the guy told me someone had been trying to make purchases on this site with a debit card that i dnt even own. The numbers ddnt match up to the one that i have. So it seems someone got my personal info from this site and tried to buy a whole bunch of stuff....It had been going on for like 6 months, and all of the charges were declined. Not sure why chase was just letting me know about it this time.

Not sure how any of this stuff works as im a construction worker lol but is it possible someone took my info from this site which dsnt allow you to remove your cc info ?

The guy from chase that i spoke to mentioned this site specifically which is the only reason i bring this up here. Maybe something should be done to prevent ppl from accessing other ppls info .....Double check your statements and transactions in case they got any of you guys too

these statements dont seem to match

if they had access to your cc number, why would they use a different number?

You may want to pull your credit report just to be safe and look throgh your bank accounts and make sure all of purchases were made by you. Good thing Chase declined stuff; however, they are required to investigate if stuff you didn't do does show up on your statements. Hope this was just a freak incident and doesn't turn out to be much worse. You may also contact Beckett to alert them to a possible breach in security. That could possibly help us all if they do find a breach.

As a former Chase employee who got these calls and looked into similar matters ona daily basis myself, I can tell you without a doubt that he had no idea how your acct number was compromised. My guess is he saw an "online" type charge and jumped to conclusions. But unless you had a one time use type of number created and used for Beckett, there is no way he would know where the breach was. If it makes you feel better, I HIGHLY doubt it was Beckett. Usually they go for the clearing house type places where they can pull down several times the number of cards they would be able to get from Beckett.

This makes me feel 100% safe <---Sarcastic

Beckett can't get anything right, what makes anyone believe they can process CC information correctly?

Look at what happened at some of the largest CC processors and how they have been compromised lately.

I'm sure Beckett has a much safer way to process you CC information then they do.

knock knock
who's there?
logic
logic who?
Logic says: why would a scammer go after such a tiny database such as beckett? there are much easier, and larger databases to go after to make money

thanks for playing <----sarcastic

I would save the sarcasm and Beckett-bashing until after you understand what you're talking about.
