RE: OT ..Seems someone got my credit info and tried to buy a bunch of stuf
i wsnt doing this as a trash beckett thread at all...the guy said someone was trying to make purchases on this site that were declined so i would assume it was someone from here.

He didnt tell me that someone from here did it, he told me that it was repeatedly used on this site, for what i have no idea, but like i said the charges were all declined. Maybe it was beckett marketplace or something ?

I ddnt mean that someone took my cc info, they took my personal info and created their own acct in my name, no idea how that happens especially with a debit card. How could someone expect to be able to get money from a bank acct when that card isn't linked to the bank acct ?

I was saying this mostly so ppl would be aware and check their stuff thats all. I would find it a huge coincidence if a random person got my info then decided to start collecting baseball cards , if they were trying to buy cards id imagine it was someone from here that is trying to steal ppls info.

i didnt think you were beckett bashing

i still dont see the a to b connection though

so (assuming) they stole your personal info from beckett, not the cc. but your personal info doesnt include social security or maiden name, so im still not clear on how they set of debit/credit accounts with that info

im not trying to be a jackass...im just genuinely not seeing how it's connected, except that whoever did it tried buying on beckett

John-

Essentially, just don't give people a heads up next time to be on the lookout for potential financial issues. Instead of seeing your post for what it is, they'd rather think you're knocking Beckett instead of looking out for their interests.

Though NONE of us know the full story, I find it to be a little bit more of a coincidence, especially when Beckett is not a large corporation to begin with that would likely draw from a larger audience.

Less risk and protection to break through.

I didn't think the OP was bashing Beckett either. I was just trying to say that you should keep alert even if you change the info here, I think the number was probably compromised in another way. (most likely)

i dnt know how they are connected either, and i honestly dnt care. I was simply telling people on the site that there is someone somewhere who stole my personal information and created a false account in an attempt to purchase cards from this site. How, why , what and when are irrelevant to me. Just wanted people to know
