the seller told me to "go to hell"

the seller told me to "go to hell"
Would you buy this card? And if so, for how much? I paid $200 on the bay...looked like a pretty sweet deal until I got the card today. Please look at the top two scans...make a decision...then look at the third scan.

The seller had scanned the card in the case so I could barely see the condition of the back...see the scan below for the defect. The tear next to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo is not as noticeable while the card is in the case because of the "U" in the word "Ultra." I can deal with edge wear, but not something this bad. When I brought it to the sellers attention, he said, "The scan on the card shows everything. I'm sorry but you only paid 200 for it. The card is in good condition and the book value is $300 dollars. I dare you to find one of these for 200 or less. If you wanted a perfect card it would have been graded already." After telling him that if he had disclosed it I wouldn't have bid on the auction. His next message said, "go to hell." Nice comeback.

Id tell him to go to hell. They have to say what kind of condition it is in. Not be too specific but if they didnt describe that big knick, then the item is not as described. Request your money back. If he doesnt, leave negative feedback. Thats not just normal wear and such. That is a big defect and id be ticked too. If you give him every chance to make it right and he doesnt, then thats his fault and deserves all the bad things that come with it.

I was going to mention how condition sensitive that set was until I seen that huge patch missing off the back

Paypal will refund your money with no issues.

And just to throw it out there are you sure nice to seller? I have had 1000s of transactions with people and as long as I was cordial they were cordial. Perhaps you said something to have that said back to you. Go to hell is a pretty rude thing to say to someone if all you did was point out damage to the card. Just my $0.02.
Unique Cards:
Dolphins - 6000+
Marino - 2140
Zach Thomas - 869
Jason Taylor - 749
Lamar Miller - 341

+1. Not saying you did anything to him though because how would I know. If he just came out and said that too you and all you did is mention the damage then he's an A$$!!! Report it to paypal/ebay and you'll get your money back with no issues. As long as he did not disclose the damage then they'll side with you on it. Hope you get that resolved man that sucks, hate seeing stuff like that happen Sad

Lets be honest. As long as you file they will refund the money....... Not saying anything about the OP... But paypal/ebay sides with the buyers 99% of the time now a days.

Here's the blow by blow --
I said, "I'm a little disappointed in the condition of the card. You didn't disclose that there is a chip in the back of card, on the right middle. This really brings down the value of the card."

To which he replied with what I posted in the original post.

I may have ticked him off with the following I guess: "You scanned it in the case. The U in Ultra blocked the view of where the defect is. Based on the response you gave you obviously knew it was there but you never bothered to disclose that in the description. I was happy with the price (as I'm sure you are too), but would never have bid on the item had I been told about the defect or you had put up a scan of the card when it was outside of the case so I could see the defect clearly. I'm not asking for my money back (which you obviously wouldn't do anyway), I'm just saying that that was pretty shady. But whatever. I live by the creed that what comes around goes around...I'm sure you'll get screwed in a transaction."

So he responded with "ts hard to please to people like u because u want something for nothing...go to hell"

As a final jab I told him "nice come back."

Which was followed by "Wow I can act like a five year old too. Contact me again I'll contact ebay for harassment against you."

So, yes, I admit I threw a few jabs. And yes, I feel bad about it. But in the end, I believe what I said, "what comes around goes around." If it makes you feel better, I'm not bothering with trying to get my money back...I'm just chalking it up to another loss on the bay. I'm not even going to ding him with a neg as it doesn't really matter to those that run the site. I just wanted him to know that as a seller that's pretty uncalled for. He should have just said sorry or didn't respond at all. His first retort is what got me.

So you letting him get away with ripping you off, telling you to go to hell, and after that not leaving negative feedback on him can hurt future buyers of this guys in the future if they don't know how he operates.
