Jordan Rookie Card - Real or Fake?
Found this card for sale and need help in determining if it's real or a fake. Any help would be appreciated. These are the only pictures I got from the person selling the card.

Pics are too dark to be able to tell for certain.
To make a proper determination you would need a good scan of it because you have to look at the fine printing itself to make a proper judgement..

If you can get the person that owns the card to scan it & email it to you, it would be easier to review. camera/cell pictures are not very good, because of angle and/or reflection of lighting.
recommend reviewing this website & searching youtube for videos on "fake michael jordan rookie"

below is another thread regarding fake MJ RC....

hope the info on these sites can help you out. If the seller says he'll sale it cheap (say, $200-300).. In my opinion, I would say it's a fake, because any collector would know how valuable a MJ RC is. Even non collectors would have an idea that it's worth a lot.

I agree, IMO it is a fake. The borders are too thin, usually the color is anothe tell tale sign but the scan don't allow me to see the colors very well.
Anyone who has a Jordan that high grade would have it graded.

Thanks for all the info guys. Man it looks like the safest way to insure I get the real deal is to buy a graded MJ rookie. Too risky otherwise.

Yeah as a seller and a buyer there's no way I try to make a deal without getting it graded first. I'd ask the seller to send it in for grading and than make a deal

The guy selling the card was trying to put pressure on me by saying he'll be taking the card over to a pawn shop if he is not able to sell it by the 1st. I'd like to see how that goes.
