RE: No Rookies in Hoops-- why?
So will there be Rookies in any products this year or will both this years and next years rookies be lumped into next year?

If I remember correctly, Limited and Gold standard will have redemptions for both this years and next years rookies.

Collect Patrick Ewing, Jalen Rose, Kevin Garnett, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jeff Green

if you have less than 25 trades, I will ask you to send first.

But will those redemptions be sp of the regular set or just redemption inserts.

Not overly sure. They may be sp of the regular set with the 2012 draft picks being tagged as xrc's. The exact details haven't been released as of yet.

Panini, should of done what topps did the past... throw in thousands of redemptions for the RC's... worry about the autos later... like they do in every other product.. if they don't get the RC's auto, then "replace it" with a suitable replacement... this seems to be Panini's practice for redemptions. send a replacement for 3 of every 10 redemptions..

They could of used the thousand of pictures of Rookies taken during the first month of the 2012 season. send a bunch of stickers to the players or their REPS to get signed. They should of been able to throw together RC/AUTO cards within 2-3 months.. I would think it would be a simple process.

I hate monopolies when it comes to manufacturing sports cards... so much fraud going on in production of sports cards... & the NBA or other sports, including game cards... don't do anything to prevent it..

No rookie photoshoot is Panini's excuse everytime I bring this up, however they cant wait to photoshop Trent Richardson into a Browns uniform? This just shows you Panini doesnt give a crap about the basketball collector.

Panini is just as greedy as UD... but "us" collectors continue to buy their products, because we love the hobby of collecting basketball cards.

then the wax dealers play with the prices of boxes.. raising/lowering them...

in the end. collectors always lose out!! either money spent or not getting the cards that we want (i.e. 2011-12 ROOKIE CARDS)

I hate redemptions, but in the case of not having 2011-12 rookies, it is understandable. I could of waited to obtain a RC from Preferred or Hoops.. since there are no rookies & huge checklists for autos.. I am done with both products.

The players agent would have supplied a generic photo if they wanted one.
