Opening day! Yanks vs. Rays

Opening day! Yanks vs. Rays
Wow! What a game. Starting the season off similar to the end of last year. Pena was amazing and Longoria looks locked in. Nice to see Rays fans way louder than the Yanks fans, Rays fans were very pumped for this game. Got a few Matt Moore autos as he was very generous and signed a bunch before and after the game. Also got Hellickson to sign the sweet spot and inscribe 2011 ROY after the game. What an awesome way to start the season! Hows the season starting for everyone else?

Started with an ugly loss to the Tigers. Bobby V leaves Lester in too long. Gives up a 2 run lead, we break Valverde for his first blown save in almost 50 games, then Mark Melancon and Alfredo Aceves give it up in the bottom of the 9th. Not a great start for Red Sox nation lol

Always interested in quality Barnes, Red Sox, and Patriots

Even though the Sox kinda stunk yesterday I still have hopes for them. Morel 0/4 with 4 strikeouts was painful to watch, and 3 k's for Beckham too...ouch. Once again the Sox can't hit with RISP but that's nothing new really, hopefully it was just opening day jitters and things will settle down. Dunn looks like he's picking up where ST left off though, hope he keeps it up. Konerko is Konerko, can never say anything bad about him.

Tigers have one heck of a team though. I also think Bobby V's not going to be a good fit for them. Its kinda funny how the roles are reversed with Francona being a commentator now, funny everytime he does a game that features the Red Sox. You stick with managers that help lead you to 2 World Series wins, some players needed to go and better signings needed to be made. To lose Tito and the GM was ridiculous...

Not sure what the deal was with last year but Dunn's lookin like he's back to his old self, good sign for them this year but I think they lost too many pieces and too many question marks.

love to see the Yanks and Red Sox lose as well. Startin the season in last place is awesome. They'll definitly be alright though. Yanks offense is lookin pretty good as usual and Arod swingin the bat real well. Hopefully the Rays can contain them a lil better. It was the complete opposite yesterday for the Rays, great offense but crappy pitching (at least from the starter) and crappy defense (mainly from Pena and Longoria). Offensively though those 2 made up for it thankfully. Hopefully it was just opening day jitters for Shields, crowd was pretty intense compared to normal standards.
