My son got into collecting 07/08 and we decided the affordable set for him to stay with is the 07/08 mvp. Since then we are trying to collect a master set. We have 71% of the goldscripts, 85% of the jerseys, 14% of the dual auto's and 18% of the super scripts.

In an effort to find more we came here to see what we could get for trade. Problem is, hardly anyone ever responds to a trade request or says not interested in trading yet cards up for trade.

Are we too green to trade with??? I am established ebayer with 100% rating.

Any thoughts?

Depending on what you're searching for, there's a chance that folks that aren't active have it listed for trade. Recently I searched for Lidstrom and Zetterberg auto/jerseys, and 95% of the cards I pulled up had them listed as being for trade by the same two members, neither of whom have posted on any of the forums in years. Better bet would be to post a thread with your needs, and a list of what you've got for trade, as well as making sure all of your traders are listed in the organizer.

This isn't intended as an insult by any means - but part of the problem could be you only have 24 cards listed for trade. Even if someone had some of your needs, the chances of them needing one of those few cards is slim.

The more cards you have listed, the more trade opportunities will open up.

Also, as someone said above, make sure the person you're trying to trade with is active (check the last log in date and/or their feedback page to see if they have any recent trades)
