In person hockey autos?
Well, as you all know I'v egot my first game comin up at the Joe Louis Arena tomorrow! I'm so excited. As most of you know, I'm an autograph guy. I've gotten autographs at most major sporting events, but never a hockey game. Any suggestions?

Usually outside the team hotel for the visiting team or after morning skate is good at the arena for the home team as they drive out in their personal cars. Not sure where to go at the Joe though.

GOOD LUCK!

Never tried it my friend, but I would go for it, probably after the game.
Collecting all the Ron Hextall Cards especially those
pesky 1 of 1 cards and other low print runs.
I am also collecting Bernie Parent, Pelle Lindbergh,
Antero Niittymaki & other Flyers goalies.

is there a way to figure the hotel thing out? It's Columbus if that helps? Also, anyone in particular I should go for from Columbus (like I said, if it's not RW I don't know it lol)

Usually, if you go to the rink early you may get that info from regulars out there.

I like letestu on the CBJ, but Rick Nash is still there....but not much longer...as after this season I imagine he's a goner

I have not tried for auto's at a Red Wings game before. Good luck, most of the guys are nice and willing to sign, from what I have heard.

Good luck and have fun at the game.

it is post hockey game, you have to wait to where the players drive out, sometimes they are good for autos and other times no luck

I hope that helps

Ive never gotten any post hockey game.....all of mine have either been at the team hotel or before/after morning skate. They usually take time and sign then.. most of them are usually pretty nice....not sure about the wings though.....

GOOD LUCK AND POST PICS!!

Good luck with the Wings. Here in NY, they're difficult to get, (at least Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom & Howard are. The lesser guys are a bit easier, though Dan Cleary is damn near impossible). As for Columbus, that team is much easier as everyone, even Nash, signs & signs multiples.

For hotels, just call the front desk of each local one & ask if (x player or coach), has checked in yet. The hotel that comes back with "yes" is where they stay. Don't use one of the big names though when asking; otherwise they'll know what you're trying to do & they usually stay under an assumed name anyway. Also keep in mind some hotels do not allow you to stay on their property for autographs.

The morning skate is easily the best time to get players but usually when they first walk out of the hotel. Coming back from practice, many players like to use the "I signed already in the morning" excuse.

Hope this helps!
