There really are no similarities. They are two entirely different product issues by Upper Deck. SP Authentic cards will be stamped as such somewhere on the front as will the SPx. Were you maybe thinking that SPx was some kinda parallel in the SP Authentic product? You shouldn't have too hard of a time distinguishing between the two.

They are both Upper Deck brands but there is no mistaking one for the other as stated before.
