2010-11 Set Completion x3! The journey concludes!

2010-11 Set Completion x3! The journey concludes!
If anyone's interested in some scans/photos, let me know.

As of yesterday I'm proud to say I have completed the following 2010-11 sets:

Contenders (Complete base, complete classic tickets, complete rookie tickets)

SP Authentic (Complete base, complete future watch autographs)

Upper Deck Series 1 (Complete base, complete Young Guns)

I collected these sets for pure enjoyment, and the fact that I believe the 2010-11 rookie crop is one of those "magic" crops (think 84-85, 90-91, and 05-06) that will be extremely collectible for years to come. What an outstanding rookie class! I also loved the challenge of tracking down some of the common autographs, redemptions (McCollum & Markstrom for SP) and ensuring top condition and autograph quality!

Does anyone think I should pursue the Essentials/Non-Auto FW and Series 2 Young Guns sets to make them "true" sets? I'm most interested in the rookies - again, for enjoyment but also investment potential. Would a missing series 2 set or the rest of the SP set hurt potential investment value?

Anyhow, just thought I'd share. It was an awesome journey!

congrats on finishing up the sets

back in the day (early 90's) I would say you have to finish both UD1 and UD2 for the set but now a days it is up to you

hope that helps

I should have kept going on my 09-10 YGs instead of selling them.

Congrats on the completions! Huge accomplishments there for sure! I would personally go for the full sets. As J.J. said, look at the sets from the early '90's... only with series 1 & 2 are they considered full set now, and that may hold true in the future. Best luck with the rest, should you decide to go any further.

Why not go for them? I don't think you would have any problems completing them, Where one journey ends another has to begin!
