I have read on these boards and tend to agree that the buy it now option on ebay has really messed things up for buyers. However, unless you have some sort of sniping sw it's getting too hard anymore to get a card in auction.

I have been outbid in the last couple seconds on the last 8 auctions I have bid on. This has been on a Jerry Rice RC...which there is no shortage of and I can find them all day on Buy It Now listings...of course they are over priced since most of them will not be in the condition that they are advertised.

I already have a BGS 8 but want to upgrade and for fun thought I would try to find a bargain but I'm finding on popular cards the last second sw is getting them all.

Oh well it's just a little hobby anyway...

Very true, well except for those graded BGS 9...all of them are listed for below what the online price guide shows, which tells me that the online price is way off if every single item on ebay is below it...the guide shows $80 I think for and 8.5 and jumps up to $300 for a 9. I can't imagine paying over $200 premium for a graded version but maybe it's that's the case for this particular card.
