I've been playing for about 3 years now and am usually around 100-108 on the majority of courses. My Driver needs some work or I just need a Driver fitted for me since I'm using a hand me down R9 Burner...The R11 makes me drool.

My Irons are a set of Ping 2010 Fitted just right for me, that we found on clearance. Someone special ordered and never came to pick em up. Win for me, even had the 1/4" extension.

As for my Uncle and Dad, they consistently hit 68-80 at any course we play. Handicap of -7 I think while I'm usually floating between -30 and -32.

This hobby like any other, is easy to lose sight on the amount your spending. Just takes some will power and self control. As not fun as it is, responsibility should come first especially when you have bills, kids and other responsibilities.
Will keep you in mind for any Griffey's.

I have someone that pays most of the bills and does the retirement planning, whatever I make at work is mine to spend and alot of that is on cards. It's not appreciated all that well but oh well Smile

nice..im about the same. I dnt play often enough to be good. My driver is horrible. if im having a good round ill just tee off with a five iron to keep it straight and try to get under 100. My brother in law shoots in the 70's, its very aggrivating. Always telling me i "just have to do this" or whatever to be better. Its not as easy as he makes it out to be. I have a set of king cobra irons that i got from my father but this summer im buying a new set and im gonna try to go more often.

RE: how do you finance this hobby?
What I do is basically do the work for other collectors too busy to search...I had a Twinkie Lady that kept me going for years until she passed away a year ago April.
If your too busy to look and willing to pay me low beckett...I check ebay and LCS and if I find a missed labelled card that normally sales for $100 marked at $10 for example...I still expect the $40 low beckett price. I do make it a point to give my customers all cards that book under $3.00 of their wants to them for free and usually free shipping when the bv is offer $50.
Also, sold stuff last year on ebay and sale the hits when I bust a box.

It's fun to see how different people go about their justification on spending hard earned money on this hobby differently. And in case I misled any of you, I have a great job, great pay, own a home, pay the bills on time blah blah blah. But I have a hard time justifying golfing a couple times a month during the summer for $30 a pop, and now I find myself spending that a month in shipping traded cards. Yikes!

$30 a month seems like alot...using paypal merchant tools...you can ship up to 3 ounces first class with delivery confirmation for $1.64.
And, you don't have to get paid through paypal to ship the item...Just use the create buttom...set the preset for first class package 3 ounces (since 1 2 or 3 ounces are the same price.).
Hope this is worth price of the Cashner card. Rolleyes
