Tips on how to start out my four year old daughter interested in football cards
So the more and more I browse around here and look at my cards I have, my four year old daughter is getting more curious and asked if she could have a card to take care of.

I started when I was 5 years old, doing chores and gaining some money to go to the corner store and buy packs of cards. Now what I am asking, as the hobby has changed and cards are more sensitive as ever, how do I go about helping her start a collection and what do I go about getting her?

She loves the Buckeyes, she came home the day the Ohio State Buckeyes got our rear ends whopped by the LSU Tigers in the national championship game in 2008. Was her first game watched/heard when she was 3 days old.

Do I go the route and get game used, as that is what she is most facinated by, or something basic to start her out with like basecards/rc's. I have plenty of them. I'm just not exactly sure how to go about teaching her how to properly care for them at 4 years of age.

Maybe start with base/rc's and 1 or 2 game used/event used. That way, the game used will be special to her because she only has a few and will likely be the prized possessions in her collection and she will learn to take good care of them. She will also probably have at least some fun looking through the base and inserts and organizing them. Good luck and have fun passing the hobby on to the next generation!

I'd say start her off with one of the "pretty boys" lol. Like Tebow, or Sanchez, or maybe even Colt McCoy
