I started buying raw cards of MJ....

BUT after being dissappionted in the condition of most of the cards...

I started buying only graded...

I had no idea about jersey/patch cards...i'll be trying to get every jersey/patch color there is....

This is some of what i have got over the last few months...

Feel free to send him my contact info if you don't pick up all his MJs, I'm gonna have a bit of paypal free in a couple days!
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!

RE: Some of my Michael Jordan collection...
thanks for the reply's....

Collecting is alot of fun....its the best being able to get all the cards we all had as kids!

I also have a Fleer 87' rookie BGS altered and a sweet shot basketball auto PSA 10(will be regraded BGS)....just haven't recieved them yet...i'll post pics up when i get them...

I have so many raw 90's inserts...i can't stop buying them!!!

I sent 8 cards to be graded BGS and got 6 back at 9.5!!!

Has anyone ever seen a blue MJ Scoring king???

Gotta love pulling these from packs!!!

RE: Some of my Michael Jordan collection...
i have paid about $3000-$4000 all up.....last time i checked i was upto about $12,000 in beckett value...
i have a BGS "altered" 87' rookie as well, just haven't recieved it yet...
I had at least 20 jordan star cards when i was a kid 93', but back then no-one knew what they were worth, only thing is i'm not sure if i had the 84/85' or the 85/86 star cards...
If i ever find my old collection(i've totally given up) i would have had all the sets you could get...like total d,team leader,scoring king,all defensive,power in the key,beam team,all nba,locker talk,mr june,holograms....
It was so hard to put those sets together (in australia) but now with ebay, you can do it in a matter of minutes!!!

What would you say you spent on everything? I'm looking to expand my MJ collection as well. I recently bought this:

Was contemplating on getting a PSA 9 but I couldn't resist the price for the BGS 8.5.

Now that I got my biggest MJ goal out of the way, I can concentrate more on his other older stuff like his Star cards. Those are sweet!!

Lately I've been scouring over the Star cards on the bay.In fact, Im watching a few as we speak and just might pull the trigger on some. Pretty pricey for higher grades but I think that they are re-gaining popularity again; which doesn't really even matter to me how popular they are or ever get. I just really enjoy them because of the different colorful borders and they are somewhat odd IMO...lol

I agree with you as well when you mention about buying them graded. Since my MJ rookie is BGS, I'm more than likely going to go with all BGS slabbed MJ's. The cases just make the cards look so much better and you can never go wrong with BGS especially with more of the modern stuff.

Great cards you have there and thanks for sharing!

RE: Some of my Michael Jordan collection...
Awesome collection, I'm really glad I checked out this post! I just started collecting again myself and used to have that 95-96 Beam Team card. I was in 4th grade when I lost it, but for the life of me I couldn't remember what "that rainbow colored Jordan card with his face punched out on it" was, but now I do! Very envious of the collection, nice work!

Those early 90's Fleer inserts are bringing back memories when I used to collect basketball and Jordan was on the tube as well!

This thread is what made me dig up my old basketball collection.
