I'm not a huge fan of Kobe but I really like his 2000-01 insert cards; they're affordable and extremely well designed. I'm not sure why, but cards from 2000-01 really appeal to me. It's a shame the rookie class was so poor that year, because, on the whole, the card designs were excellent.

Has anyone else got any nice Kobe inserts that they'd like to share?

I just bought the following two cards. The photos are from eBay but I bought mine on COMC - the scans don't do the cards justice on that website.

(Who knows, maybe they'll be worth thousands one day like Jordan inserts :p )

I'd have to agree. Lots of people write off the early 2000's inserts because they arent LATE 90's inserts, but I love alot of my Kobe inserts from that time period. I need to pick up the first 3 you posted!!! The SP Authentic and SPX cards from 2000-01 look so nice and are soooo cheap, that is the downfall of the horrible rc classes for a few years there. THe wax was so cheap it didnt really justify these nice looking inserts pulling in big bucks

But maybe someday they will be. Sellers couldnt get rid of those Skybox, Z-Force, Thunder, Metal, etc boxes 5 years ago.

Thanks crimedawg47, I enjoyed reading your comments/thoughts on the inserts.

The 3rd card that I posted (2000-01 SP Authentic Supremacy) is probably my favourite insert design of all-time. They look better than most Exquisite cards. There is certainly a similarity with Exquisite.
