So I actually lost this Auction to someone else but its a guy I know who won and I know he will pay. I was offered a 2nd chance offer and he told me he has a few of them and they were Promo's with only 15 made of each. I am just wondering if anyone else has any like this and how many have you seen. I am debating as I can't find any info on this. Here I took the picture and added it to my photobucket. What are your thoughts on this and can anyone tell me any info on it.

Bankrupt auction? backdoor deal?

A promo card that they "only made 15 of" back in 1997 smells fishy to me. Especially when the seller claims to have several of them. I would assume it's from the bankruptcy auction, but I would be leery of paying too much for it. Does the seller have a scan of the back of the card, and if so is it serial numbered to 15? If not, then how does he know only 15 were made?

Although this is a good possibility, the Gold version coming from the packs have more foil than the uncut version. I am actually looking at a Cal Ripken on the Bay right now but decided not to bid because it does not look right. This year is the first I've seen or heard of any uncut version of this card and if it was made by Ultra at that time, the foil should be somewhat close to the cut version. Just my two cents...
