2. anyone without a static ip address (read: anyone with a cable modem) can change their ip address at will
3. this is why beckett now requires credit cards on file
4. because while ip blocks are a fallacy, credit card info is fairly static
And your Info is false as well

2. people can not change their IP at will if they have cable modem, cable modem Ip addresses stay the same, but multiple users are placed into a pool for that Ip address, that is why they cannot be blocked, if they tried to block one person, it would block the whole pool.

DSL user's Ip addresses do change each time that they log off the net and log back on, but they are also placed into pool Ip's, so trying to block one, blocks the whole pool

3. Beckett does not now or ever has required a CC to be placed on file to be a member, UNLESS, you are purchasing the OPG, organize, or items from other members, or from Beckett Media or market Place.

4. credit card info is a fallacy as well, especially since there are now so many prepaid cards that can be purchased from the local grocery store to the biggest restaurants, to the mom and pop convenience stores, they are available anywhere and everywhere.

And the reason they were made available is to make transactions for purchases on the internet safer, that way if someone did hack your account, all they could take out is what was deposited on the card, they couldn't empty your bank account because the card is not connected to your bank account, you do not even have to use your correct name or address to register them for internet transactions

Well there is a way to change your IP, but you'll have to purchase the program. Even though your actual IP isn't even changed, it is more like masked, blocked, spoofed whatever youll call it, then you pick a IP you would like to use from a list of countries
