Regrading BGS subs 10, 10, 9.5, 9.5
This will be my first time sending in an already graded BGS 9.5 with subs 10, 10, 9.5, 9.5. Does anyone have tips or pointers for sending the card back for regrading? The original grade date for the card was September 28, 2005. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated. I would like to do anything and everything necessary to increase the chances of getting the card bumped to a PRISTINE BGS 10. Thanks!

Based on the date that you provided, the slab that the card is in should have an older label (I think). If it were me, I'd leave it be.

The card actually has the current BGS label. And yes, I believe it was very close to the time period when they used the older BGS labels. However, this one has the current label.

That is an amazing looking card!! I'd leave it be.

I know this too is sarcasm. Tbh, I don't think that one of the subgrades would bump. It might and it may not. However, the two subgrades that you need bumping are the most likely candidates to bump.

I hope that this helps.

RE: Regrading BGS subs 10, 10, 9.5, 9.5
If you're going to leave it in the holder during the regrade, I say go for it. Another guy recently posted on another board his card that he submitted three times, though he took it out of the holder each time. The first two times, it got an overall of 9 and the third it got a 9.5. The subs were pretty much scattered each time. I don't think they'll lower the grade at all so if you're willing to lose a few bucks with the chance that it could come back the same grade, I say go for it.

Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated!!

So, if I mail the card in the slab with a note to regrade, BGS will not lower the grade? correct?

I don't think so but I would either call BGS or get in touch with jeffv96masters (mod on this site, has a sticky thread up at top of BGS forum so easy to find). Those are the two best bets that I know of to make sure of that.

RE: Regrading BGS subs 10, 10, 9.5, 9.5
It may not necessarily regrade at the same level,,,, removing it may damage it, may knock a grade down, whatever,,,, your required to sign a waiver,,,, see below,,, self explanatory,,,,,

Hope this helps--

RE: Regrading BGS subs 10, 10, 9.5, 9.5
Jeff- thanks for taking the time to assist! I appreciate all of the input.

So... this is what I take away from the RE-grading process:
1) NO guarantee to hold its current grade
2) Card could regrade higher but could also regrade lower (and if card is altered, no grade at all)

There is no process in place to allow for a card to be regraded without losing its current grade, correct???
