I love my Canon mg6220. The software is the kicker for me, auto cropping and the program creates a scanned items que, where you can decide what scans go where and edit them before saving to the final file/folder.

Whatever you choose stay away from the Kodak Junk. Their scanning Software is Good. As it allows you to make multiple scans at once. But the scanner itself suxs. It scans orange cards as red and if you use it too much it no longer connect to your computer until it cools down. The Ink is cheap but not worth it in the end. For example this is an Orange Felt card:

Totally agree with RW34 here. I have an Epson v30 which is nearly identical to the v300 except there is no slide attachment. I used to use a Canon Pixma to do scanning and now with the Epson, my graded cards don't come out blurry anymore:



The Epson uses a CCD sensor whereas most others use a cheaper CIS sensor.
