What should I get graded?
#11

RE: What should I get graded?
Here are my own personal rules for grading submissions....

1) A good grade must increase the value of the single enough to be worth grading (i.e. RCs, condition sensitive cards, etc.)

2) The card must have a shot at getting a gem mint. I take a maginfying glass and a good desk lamp and inspect with them. It hurts the value of most modern cards if it grades below a 9. The only exception are things like metal's precious gems and various other mid 90's inserts and they can go up in value because they are condition sensitive and even an 8 or 8.5 is a tough grade for those singles.

3) Lastly, I submit my favorite cards that I would prefer to protect with a slab and don't care to ever sell. If you think the card will not grade well, look at the blue label authentication service and see if you card can be slabbed like that. There is a Dirk auto in my PC bucket that is slabbed with the blue label service if your wanting to check out an example of that.

Hope my personal rules can help with your decision......
