Can someone explain to me how you increase your Member ranking? I just noticed that someone who joined later than me is ranked as a Junior Member, while I'm still a New member. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, it doesn't matter when you joined, it is done by the total number of posts you have. You will reach the next level at 100 posts, the post count also moves up and down as some posts get deleted. The rankings don't matter a whole lot as most traders rely on feedback ratings and word of mouth on new traders.

Don't read into them too much. You could make 1,000 posts that include nothing but a smiley and it'll jack up your member rating. People will know who you are and what you're all about regardless of that rating so don't worry about it.

I almost did a trade with one person, maybe six months ago, and they were listed as a new member. However, they had been a member of the site for a few years and had something like 100-200 trades under their belt with great feedback. They just never posted on the boards, not even once.

Yeah, I've been a member since the 20th century and I'm still a New Member. Even with 100+ trades. I had a few thousand posts on the old message boards, but haven't posted much since the new site came up.

Oh, wow! If that's the case where they encourage threads and replies then why do they tell you when you signup to keep your thread posts to a minimum. Oh no, I think I've gone cross eyed >)

HOF Member is the highest Member Rating that we (regular) registered member can get by posting replies or posting our own threads. The next level is Moderator, next after that is Super Moderator. I don't know what is after Super Moderator.
