What can people tell me about Dylan Bundy?
I figured since I just made a trade for his 2011 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospect Autographs #DB Dylan Bundy I should find out some info on him. Why are his cards priced kind of high? What team is is going on? I would think he is supposed to be good since his cards seem to have some value on them.
I looked him up and he is a prospect that was born in 1992. Here is the info I found.

Bundy attended Owasso High School. As a senior he had a 0.25 earned run average and 158 strikeouts in 71 innings. He was the 2011 Gatorade National Baseball Player of the Year, Baseball America High School Player of the Year Award and the USA Today National Player of the Year.

Bundy was drafted by the Orioles with the fourth overall pick in the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.

So I guess I should sit on it few a little bit and see how it goes.

Start collecting him, so in 15 years you dont have to go back and get all of them like you have done with Jeter.

Prospecting is a whole different hobby if you ask me, Im not into it but some are, and very much.

You should give it a try to see if you enjoy it (prospecting). If your real good at it it would be able to produce some more funds for all those super rare Jeters you want.

I will sell or trade him when he becomes a hot player. I am not sure if I will collect anyone else like I am doing with Derek Jeter. Too much time and effort to start all over. I figure I can get atleast most of his 1992 to 2000 cards. If I had to guess I am 60% of the way there right now. I will figure it out and when I do I will have a huge list again and I can only hope people can help me here. Right now I am at 1997 but I am tring to get more trade bait for the higher end cards I might see along the way.

RE: What can people tell me about Dylan Bundy?
From various sources:

Dylan Matthew Bundy

Bats: Both, Throws: Right
Height: 6' 1", Weight: 200 lb.

Born: November 15, 1992 in Owasso, Oklahoma, US (Age 19)

Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 1st round (4th) of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft

According to a source, Bundy will receive a $4 million bonus with $6.225 million in guaranteed money on a big league deal.

Bundy, regarded as the best high school pitching prospect in this year’s class, was picked despite rumors that the O’s would go with Archie Bradley even if both he and Bundy were available at #4.

Bundy works with a fastball, curveball, changeup, and cutter, all of which are above-average pitches. He’s athletic and has typical power-pitcher traits along with smooth mechanics.

Scouting Report
Solid frame and good lower half. Described as “athletic thick” and carries weight well. Limited by height. Carries a bit of muscle for his age, could continue to add 5-10 pounds without adverse effect. Body type consistent with the workhorse power pitchers. Fastball sits in the mid 90’s late in games and he touches high 90’s with ease. Normally hits 98 mph and 99 mph several times per start; commands fastball well. Added cutter to arsenal in 2011; now a plus pitch. Cutter has a very nice horizontal plane with a tight late break; ranging from upper 80’s to low 90’s. Curveball has two plane curveball and sits in the mid to upper 70’s; should be above-average going forward. Changeup is a good pitch with room for improvement; sits in the upper 70’s and very low 80’s; should also become above-average pitch. He simply makes bats miss and racks up strikeouts. Does a great job of working off the fastball with the cutter and really likes to attack hitters. Passion on the hill is obvious and he is constantly in a showdown against each and every hitter. Arm slot in the loading phase is a little stretched and he goes beyond the 90 degree angle with the hand. It is only slight and depending on coaching it could remain the same. His arm slot does add a bit of pressure, but nothing alarming of inverted problems. Has a lot of traits of a power pitcher with a solid tuck and a powerful stride to go with a smooth and seemingly effortless approach. Gets a great amount of push from the lower half and it shows you why he can reach the upper 90′s. Downhill thrower with limited “wasted motion” and a solid plant foot. Could use a bit more follow through and finish the delivery better. Projects as a true ace.

I look for HOF Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs. Add in a few personal favorites I collect from each team, and everything else in my collection is up for trade.
