TOPPS LEAST ATTRACTIVE BASE SET
#1

TOPPS LEAST ATTRACTIVE BASE SET
The winner of the Topps Least Attractive Base Set, probably not much of a surprise, is 1990 Topps. With that said, it beat out the 2002 Topps set by a mere four point. Hope all of you that participated enjoyed this little run. I figured it was something different to do on the boards. If anyone wants to see something similar with another set/brand/etc, I'm willing to do so again. Just post some ideas/thoughts here. Thanks everyone!

RE: TOPPS LEAST ATTRACTIVE BASE SET
that was pretty fun. Thanks for sharing the results. How about doing one for other sets such as Fleer, Donruss/Leaf, Upper Deck, Score/Pinnacle, etc.)
or how about doing one for the least attractive auto.

I love the 1990 Topps Ken Griffey Jr, almost picked up a psa 10 copy a couple weeks ago. I was surprised to see how rare a 10 grade was on that, and for the price it went for.

'91 Fleer was flat out awful from the get go and it's reputation has only grown with it over time. I almost feel like if they reversed the colors (black back/yellow writing) it MIGHT have looked a lot better.

Personally, I've always liked '90 Topps for some reason. It was only a few votes ahead of '02 which someone likened to the contents of a baby diaper in the thread.

yea, i kind of liked 1990 topps as well. sure, it lacks grace, but it has a it has a charm to it.
91 fleer, colors reversed

(i didnt want to figure out which font it was, so the font is a bit off)

so, essentially, it's like the 1991 fleer pro-visions inserts border scheme

Love it or hate it, one thing that's great about 1990 set is that the design particularly memorable. Who wants a wimpy, unmemorable design?

Out of all the representatives for that ugly set, George Bush gets the nod huh Bill?! lol

I have always wondered who was the first President to appear on a baseball card.
