RE: PSA 10 vs. BGS 9.5
PSA and BGS are both good options. The slab on BGS is better but PSA 10's are worth more than beckett 9.5's for the most part. I use PSA on thin cards and Beckett on thick because the PSA thicker holder is lame. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I have not sent any cards in for a while. The prices seem to also be incrasing for grading making it harder to jusify a submission to either......

1. Yes, but is a PSA 10 worth more than a BGS 10?

2. I think ALL of the PSA slabs are "lame"

1. No. But PSA does not need to make a pristine category for a 'select' few cards to create an inflated market. I like they 10 system for Gem Mint. Collector's pay crazy amount for a Beckett card because a grader felt like handing out a 10 one day to a card to see what it will sell for on ebay. You know there is virtually no difference between many 9.5 & 10 Beckett cards.

2. That is your opinion on the slabs. PSA came along first and their status is pretty much legendary at this point.

1. There is a HUGE difference between a BGS 9.5 and a BGS 10. Using your theory, however, there is no difference between a PSA 9 and a PSA 10!!

Then what was your point in even stating the difference of worth between a PSA 10 and BGS 10 which are two totally different grades anyway?

What?
Like someone said years ago, a PSA 10 is the highest that you can get. And I, in turn rebutted, no it's not. It's called a BGS 10.
