I agree with this but I think Kareem Abdul-Jabar and Hakeem Olajuwon could be considered because of their defensive dominance. Olajuwon is the career leader in blocks if I remember right, right?

Olajuwon may be the career leader in blocks, but it didn't become an official statistic until the mid-70s. There is no doubt in my mind that Bill Russell would own that record, by far, if they tracked blocked shots that far back.

No doubt Bill Russell would own the blocked shots record had it been tracked since the beginning of the NBA. I would be willing to bet that it would have been virtually unbreakable as well. He is in my mind the best defensive player ever in any sport.

Michael Jordan = All Time Greatest
Julius Erving = Made Dunking what it is today
Bill Russell = Can you say Championship
Wilt Chamberlain = 30 Points / 22 boards per game
Jerry West = The man is the logo!

Looking to trade for Rey Maualuga, Attempting a Super Collection
174/457 = 38% (not including 1/1)
